A coastal retreat with unforgettable sea views
Welcome to Oystercatcher Cornwall
A relaxed coastal home for families and friends to slow down, spend time together, and soak in the sea air.
Perched above the picturesque fishing village of Mevagissey, Oystercatcher is a quietly inviting contemporary coastal home. With its reverse living layout, endless sea views pour in through wall to wall windows, morning light moves slowly across wooden floors, and life settles into a gentler rhythm.
Designed with simplicity and comfort in mind, the house opens itself up to the landscape — offering a peaceful retreat that’s both relaxed and quietly special. Whether it’s days on the beach, salty swims, cliff walks, or time spent gathered around the table, Oystercatcher is the kind of place that’s easy to settle into — and hard to leave.
Whether you’re reconnecting with family or catching up with friends, this is a place for simple pleasures and shared moments. The kind that stay with you.
The Living Space
On the first floor, the living area is flooded with natural light — open and simply styled with a laid-back coastal feel. There’s a wood-burning stove set into a stone hearth with a driftwood mantle, and comfy sofas to settle into after a day outdoors. Large windows frame the sea views, bringing the outside in. A large rustic oak dining table sits at the heart of the room — perfect for family meals and board games. It’s a calm, comfortable space that’s easy to feel at home in. There’s also a pool table for nights in.
Sliding doors open onto a balcony that runs the full width of the house — with glass balustrades to make the most of the view. It’s a peaceful place to sit with a book or a quiet drink and watch the light change over the sea.
The Kitchen
The kitchen area is bright, well-equipped, and easy to spend time in.There’s a large induction hob, oven, microwave, slow cooker, bean-to-cup coffee machine, dishwasher, and everything you might need for cooking at home. It’s a lovely place to cook, especially in the evening when the setting sun pours in, with people gathering around the island for a drink and a chat. Mornings are just as special — making coffee or breakfast while the sun rises over the water, filling the space with soft, early light.
Snug
Just off the main space, a snug TV room offers a quieter corner with a large Smart TV, Sky, Netflix, surround sound — and another lovely view.
Bedrooms
Downstairs, all four bedrooms are spacious, peaceful and simply furnished for a good night’s rest
Main bedroom with super king-size bed, en-suite (bath and shower), and sea views through French doors that open onto a small balcony
Second bedroom with super king-size bed and en-suite shower room
Two further bedrooms, each with king-size beds — one with a sea view
Family shower room shared by the additional bedrooms
There is also a practical laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and butler sink — handy for longer stays.
Front Terrace
A sun trap for most of the day — the front terrace is perfect for a morning coffee or evening drinks. The glass balustrade keeps the sea view open, so you can just sit back and watch the boats go by.
Rear Courtyard
Tucked at the back is a courtyard with an outdoor shower, table tennis and basketball hoop — great for a bit of fun after the beach.
Upper Terrace
Reached by a bridge from the main living area, this raised space is quiet and private, with built-in seating around a firepit and a large rustic dining table for outdoor meals. It’s a lovely space to enjoy the sunshine during the day — or gather in the evening around the fire, and stay out a little longer under the stars with a blanket and a drink.

"The listing doesn’t do the place justice. The beds were comfy, rooms spacious, and bathrooms well equipped—but it’s really all about that view."

"The house is beautiful, overlooking the water, 4 good sized bedrooms, ample amount of bathrooms, clean and tidy place, surrounded by windows so very light and airy. "
